Today Sunday we were in Southley Park and Budiriro. In Budiriro we fixed three sewage systems that were broken. There was a lot of joy from the residents. In Southley Park we had a meeting with residents who shared with us their challenges. They want us to stand with them to resist the change of a government school built by the community to a private school.
There is need for major work by council. They need to increase the number of mains per line. Each line has about 20 houses and is currently serviced by one main sewage supply. There is need to make them 5 mains instead of one for 20 houses. That is council duty
So what we fixed can only last for as long as there is pressure on the main. It will bring relief for dinner months but it's not permanent
